Aloha Readers!
As many of you know, my wife and I launched IN SITU near the end of April with very little fanfare and even less marketing.  Since this is my first full-length novel and the first time I have published, it was hard to know what to expect.  No sales, some sales?  Well, I am happy to report that the results of the first two months of publication have exceeded my expectations beyond my wildest dreams.  Sales continue to grow exponentially, and the positive reviews are reinforcing my own personal view—which, of course, is meaningless—that the book is really good!

Special thanks to all of the readers who have taken the time to post Amazon reviews!  As IN SITU success continues, I am particularly indebted to you for “taking the chance” with an unknown author.
To those of you who wished the book was longer and/or wanted a sequel, rest assured, IN NATURA is on the way!

Dear Readers,

We are already almost at the six month anniversary of e-publishing IN SITU !!!  Can you believe it?

I wanted to thank all of you who have borrowed or purchased the book, and especially to thank those of you (most of you) who took the time to thoughtfully review it on Amazon. 

As you can imagine, I love reading the comments! The different opinions about the book’s merits and weaknesses are sometimes staggering—especially from the folks who didn’t even read it, ouch!!—but I am pleased and heartened to know that most of you who grit their teeth and struggled through seem to have really enjoyed it. 

To those of you who don’t believe that a woman can be as multi-talented and as beautiful as the character Alex—all I can say in my defense is that “you should meet my wife!” To those of you who find my intelligent dinosaurs completely “implausible”—worry not, I eventually plan to write about vampires, or dragons, or wizards, or perhaps even something to do with an ancient cruise liner full of miscellaneous animals floating around in a giant rainstorm!  To those of you who hated the book—take heart in knowing that I am my own worst critic! 

Finally, to those of you who loved the book—I am diligently working on the final draft of IN NATURA which is the first sequel to IN SITU.  I hope to have it ready for release sometime in the next several months.

In the meantime—keep the notes and comments coming!

Aloha IN SITU Fans !

Mahalo for all of the great comments you have posted on Amazon!  I know it’s a pain to take the time to review, but I really appreciate all of them!  For those of you just dying to read the “first” sequel—I have been hammering away relentlessly at IN NATURA—the good news is she is almost (whatever that means, right?) ready for publishing.  I just finished running through the fourth draft.  Now I need to put it away for a while and come back to it with a fresh set of eyes.  In the meantime, I do have a cadre of “ideal readers” who I have invited to pre-view it and give me comments and criticism to help make it even cooler than—I think, of course—it already is!  While I am waiting, I am starting another totally unrelated manuscript which so far is titled IN AQUA!

 

Humm…. Wonder what that could be about?

Aloha IN SITU Fans!

I thought it was about time to update you on the progress of IN NATURA. In short, it is taking me much longer to finish than I had hoped, but I am relentlessly working on it. Now in FIFTH DRAFT-- I decided to do some major surgery to it!! I think the novel will be much better as a result, but realistically, I am still a few months away. The manuscript will need at least one more "quick" sixth draft, then copy edit, then one more look. Did I mention I have a day job? We will immediately let all of you that have sent inquiries the MINUTE it is out and available.

Aloha IN SITU Fans!

Thank you for your continued enthusiasm regarding IN NATURA.  Lots of emails have been coming in asking where in the heck it is! Yikes!  I know, I know…  Believe me, as I pound away at it almost every day, I ask myself the same question.  Anyhow, I am still running through some drafts and preparing to send it to a few select agents for review before I kick it out on Amazon.   I will be giving advance notice to all of you who have emailed.  New year?

Okay, this is getting awkward.  I know I promised you IN NATURA some time ago, and I really thought I would be done with it by now.  Anyway, I just finished the sixth or seventh draft  (who knows, I lost count a while back)!!!  Now, I am giving it back to my copy editor for one last look.  Then, I am going to try to get a couple of agents to look at it hoping against hope that someone will agree to represent me, but I am not going to give them long.  April? May?  For those of you who have emailed interest, I will be contacting all of you the second it is out!!!

Aloha IN NATURA and IN SITU  Fans!

Well, we just won a BRONZE AWARD from ELIT BOOK AWARDS for 2016 in their Science Fiction and Fantasy category for IN NATURA!! 

 

Woo hoo!!  It’s not a HUGO yet but it’s something!

 

I am currently working on two more books in the ARZAT SERIES—one is actually prequel to IN SITU and one is a sequel to IN NATURA.  Progress is slow, especially since I tend to get sidetracked and forget to turn on my computer for a while—ugh!  Anyway, they WILL GET DONE.  After all, my first two got done didn’t they?  The prequel is titled IN UNO and the last book in the series will be called IN FINI.

 

For those of you who I have email information, you will be the first to know when either one of them hit the Amazon list.

Arzat update

 

Aloha dear and patient fans of IN SITU and IN NATURA!

​

I realize it has been and unconscionable amount of time since my last update—and I apologize.  Time flies when you are working, having fun, and attempting to finish manuscripts!  I wish I could tell you that I have the third book in the Arzat series done—but I am far from it.  In the meantime, I DO have a first draft of a management book on the way which should be fun and—if I do say so myself—is going to be fantastic and quite “out-of-the box.”

Here’s the big news of the day:

​

My fantastic wife has managed to get both of the Arzat books out in PAPERBACK!  No easy task, I can tell you that. I am now “under orders” to complete a screenplay of IN SITU the minute my management book is done.

​

In the meantime, if you liked IN SITU and IN NATURA and wish you could have had a “hard” copy—your wish is granted.  They are now both available on Amazon!

Dear Arzat fans!

Where does the time go?  

​

Anyway, as mentioned in my last update which is now more than 9 MONTHS ago, I was diligently working on a new management book while my wheels continued to spin on the next Arazt novel.  Soooo sorry!  They're still SPINNING!  Wow, we could'a had a baby by now!

​

Here's the good news!  My management book MANAGEMENT ONE-POINT-OH is FINALLY DONE and is now available for purchase in both PAPERBACK AND KINDLE formats!

​

Now, I realize that a book on management might not exactly be a sci-fi reader's normal cup of tea--but please give it a TRY.  It's as much about life as it is about management and I think you'll enjoy it and maybe have a few laughs along the way.

​

In the meantime, now maybe I can get back to my Arzats!
